/Thanks Deb. I was born with my connective tissue disorder, and have moved in and out of visibility all of my life. Very visible as a child, I started to disappear when I began falling over (and other deniable affronts to organised society). Becoming visibly disabled by acquiring the wheelchairs was a kind of transformation and living with them is a paradox complicated by my lack of roots.

/Great blog, Gini.
It helps me think through my own stuff, so thanks for that.
Disability as transformation: It's relevant to many disabled people but not all, and not to me.
For me disability is ... existance, and survival in the sense of I DID NOT DIE!
Invisibility is also something I can relate to, from my childhood. About this another time.
Great photo too.
