DAO seeks to publish material, which gives precedence to the disabled person’s voice. Disability Arts in its purest sense is art that is informed by our experience of the things that make us unique – as disabled people.
The latest project funded by Arts Council's Impact Fund, is New Voices South West - a program of workshops with three artists from LinkUpArts.
In 2010 DAO published 'Transformation' - an animation by visual artist Nancy Willis, inspired by 'The Explorer' - a series of transcription poems by Allan Sutherland, first published in 2009.
