Freewheeling is currently working closely with Dr Brian Wybrow who is a patent consultant and chartered scientist with the Science Council. Through Patently Creative, an innovation-management service, he is helping with the development and patent protection of the underwater wheelchair as a commercial product.

This is just one of the ways in which Freewheeling can be supported financially to sustain further artistic projects and extend our work.

Dr Wybrow, an accomplished inventor with a number of patents in his name, is undertaking all work in relation to the patenting of Sue Austin's invention and continues to offer a wealth of information and support in relation to all aspects of the work.

“When first presented with Sue’s project, I was amazed to find out what she was doing.

"Being an Inventor, and having worked on hundreds of projects over the past 20 years, I was honoured to become involved in helping both to make a contribution to the development of the project and protect the associated intellectual property.

"I wish her every success in this bold and courageous venture.”
