The fabulous, extremely popular Inspire project Funky Flamingo! A great night out, for people with a disability or learning difficulty, and their friends and carers. Disabled-led live music, DJ’s, VJ’s, dancing, singing, film projections, etc.
Don’t miss our next big Funky Flamingo club night on the 16th May at the Junction in Cambridge. All your favourites will be there – Live music from regional unsigned competition finalists Tiger Blue; rock heroes The Dreamcatchers; Six Pack DJ’s; solo slots from guest singers and a weird and wacky presentation from The Funky Days performance artists. We are also proud to announce the release of DJ Destructor's first solo album of original dance music – his set on the night will be the world premier of this amazing new CD. Copies will be on sale in the foyer on the night or from the inspire website after the event.
This season’s theme is all about the Legend of the Missing Flamingo, escaped from the circus and rumoured to be hiding somewhere in the Junction! Your ‘mission impossible’ is to catch that Flamingo and return her/him/it to the circus. Here’s your first clue: the Flamingo is said to be the same size and shape as one of the famous Funky comperes…
